Since Mark Hickinbotham founded our company in 1992, Sawcross has grown from a specialist in small water projects to one of the region's best in class constructors of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Our success is set on the foundation of team members that are passionate about construction, engineering, and infrastructure while understanding our clients’ needs and objectives. Our team members form collaborative relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and others to assist in delivering the most desirable and economical solution to the goals of the project.

DESIGN - BUILD
Design-Build is the fastest growing and most popular method used to deliver construction projects in America. Sawcross has is positioned to invest heavily in the design-build market and has partnered with the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) to certify our management team in the design principle of success. Certification of our management team will allow Sawcross to better serve our clients utilizing the best practices endorsed by DBIA.
Sawcross has worked on several design-build projects and is working to increase our portfolio over the next few years.
DESIGN - BID - BUILD
Sawcross has been a proven leader in the design-bid-build delivery method for over 30 years. Our portfolio spans the southeast and includes projects of notable value for military, correctional institutions, and municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities.
CMAR
The Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) is a delivery method wherein a project owner hires a general contractor(individual/firm) to offer consultation on the feasibility and constructability of a project. Often, the project owner employs the same general contractor to complete the actual construction.
ENGINEERING
Our engineering is at the root of our construction approach. Sawcross is backed by a mechanical engineering team that can help our clients to achieve design excellence.
